Per Laurie's request....

It's officially 2 months and 7 days since i have posted.... Sorry for all those faithful readers...But hey now you had something to look forward to.
What to post about.... hmmmmmmm..... God is good! Through the hard times, the good times, the blah times, the eh times, the woo hoo times, God is good! That is how my life has been so far. Up and down...
But through it all God has remained the same. Isn't that awesome? Some highlights....1. I am driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger... beautiful blue, beautiful brand new car smell, it's even more beautiful cuz I'm not paying for it.
Back in Dec. I was taking Darci to her moms house in Middlebury... I went to go around someone who was turning left and BAM!!!!!!!! hit a pot hole... Seriously we thought my tire either fell off or was flat. Well, I pulled off the road and nothing seemed to look bad... so I have been driving on it for 2 months... Well, I decided to ask my insurance company if they covered that and they put ina claim and WOO HOO... they cover it.
So, I have been without my car since last Wednesday and driving this car since last Thursday... though I love this car, I miss mine.
It should be done by Saturday or Monday.2. This weekend I am watching my bosses 10 month old little girl, Annika. They are going to Florida and taking their oldest 2 but leaving Annika home... I am watching her starting Friday morning til Tuesday when Regina's sister comes to get her. It should be fun. Please pray for safety and just a fun time.
3. I filled out an application and sent it in last week for a week long internship with Rita Springer (the worship leader I admire most and love and do all her songs...
) The internship is March 16 - 23... I will find out either before or the last week of Feb.. Please pray that if I DO make it, that I will find out before that week because the tuition is due March 5 and I will have to raise it because it is $1200.
I'm soooo excited. It's hard to sit and wait though while they do the application process..... It would be AMAZING! PLEASE PRAY!!!!4. Hmmmmmm..... what has happened since Dec. 6? I had a boy come over on Christmas.
It was soooooooooo funny... 2 of my sisters and their families were there and my parents and before he came it was like musical chairs in there. Then I find out when I went outside to go get him... they moved again... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! We were all really nervous but it was fun. Maybe he will be around more... so get ready winkatthecabdriver and joyismineforever (is that your sn Amy???)
Hahahaha!!! Man... Julie, the more time I spend with him... the more I see JOHN!!!
It's crazy... I'll have to tell you some stories.5. I found out that I need to welcome my other sister to Xanga.... Zoeysmom (add some numbers there) MARY!!! Welcome!!! So... all the "Hulse" girls have a xanga now... though I'm the only Hulse left... but that's okay.
I think I will leave it at that. It's long enough, it gives highlights. It covers a few things. So... there you go Laurie... I better be getting some comments on here, too!!!

Thanks for posting, so that I can catch up some on my littlest little sister. I love you, and I look forward to seeing what God has in store for you in these things. I know that waiting on the Lord can be hard. But I also know (unfortunately from personal experience in the past) that not waiting on Him and His PERFECT timing is ultimately a LOT harder.
In my will and timing (and I was in NO way consulting God at the time), I would have gone into the Marines on June 4, 1985. Fortunately, God knew better, and allowed me to blow out my knee in a freak accident the end of May. That is not intended as any kind of slight against the military. But for me, had that not happened, I would not have been working at the grocery store with the checker whom God used to bring me to repentance and a real walk with Jesus. And had that not happened, there is NO way that I would have started down the path that led me to a certain Bible college in Chicago in January of '88, (where I met a certain oldest Hulse girl) because I would have still been in the Marines. And believe me, God is the ONLY one who could have changed my mind about moving from nice, warm California to the middle of a Chicago winter. I vividly remember that the week prior to my scheduled arrival, they were having 50 below zero windchill. (As an aside, I have done the math. 50 below zero is a nice euphemism, but what it really means is "82 degrees colder than ice.") But looking back now, I cannot imagine my life without Laurie or my little sisters (plus all of the subsequent blessings that have happened as a result of knowing all of you).
So if God "blows out the knee" on any of your plans, trust me when I say that He has something far beyond your meager expectations. And you will not be disappointed when He brings them to fruition.
Love,
Your biggest big brother
